Autoblog Podcast #26
On
the 26th episode of the Autoblog Podcast Chris Paukert and I spend some time reviewing the 2006 Saab 9-5 that
currently resides in the Autoblog Garage. We also reminisce on the best and worst taglines mentioned in the many
comments of our post on the topic. We also touch on a bright spot in the automotive industry that doesn’t seem to
be getting the attention it deserves, which is the recent spike in new jobs created by Toyota moving into Subaru’s
Lafayette, IN manufacturing plant, the announcement of Kia’s first manufacturing facility on
U.S. soil and Chrysler’s announcement that it’s putting 1,000 people back
to work at its Belvidere plant. Get the podcast

"Those old toyotathon ads with the people jumping up into a freezeframe to the 'I love what you do for me, toyota'... those epitomize 1991 for me"
YES! YESYESYES. That stuff molded me! Just the idea that a truly good car made you want to jump up with big hair... and that a truly good car could be something like a Toyota Tercel EZ.
